Fußball-Hammer in Frankreich: Olympique Lyon ist zum Zwangsabstieg verdonnert worden. Der Traditionsklub muss den schweren Gang in die zweite Liga antreten. Das hat keine sportlichen Gründe – Lyon ist in der Ligue 1 Sechster geworden, hat sich eigentlich für die Europa League qualifiziert –, sondern finanzielle Gründe.
Lyon hat über 500 Millionen Euro Schulden, hat es nicht geschafft, diese in dieser Saison drastisch zu senken. Jetzt hat die Liga hart durchgegriffen. Lyon muss absteigen!
Aber wenn man an Schulden denkt, dann denkt man auch automatisch an den FC Barcelona. Die Spanier wirtschaften sich schon seit Jahren in den Ruin. Mittlerweile soll der LaLiga-Klub einen Schuldenberg von über einer Milliarde (!) Euro angehäuft haben. Konsequenzen: Nicht wirklich erkennbar.
Lyon muss wegen 500 Millionen Euro absteigen. Warum trifft es Barça nicht auch? Die Spanier sollten ebenfalls zwangsabsteigen!

Barça hat nichts gelernt. Schon in den letzten Jahren gab es immer wieder Schwierigkeiten, neue Spieler für den Spielbetrieb zu melden. So war es im vergangenen Jahr bei Dani Olmo. Der Spanier kam für 55 Mio. Euro von RB Leipzig. Spielen durfte er aber erst mal nicht. Die Liga verweigerte ihm die Spielberechtigung. Barça sollte sparen – vor allem bei den Gehaltskosten. Die Gehaltsobergrenze in Spanien einzuhalten, schaffen die Katalanen nur selten. Die Folge: Sanktionen der Liga. Barça wurde zeitweise zur 50-Prozent-Regel verdonnert. Bedeutet: Nur wenn der Klub zwei Euro einspart, darf ein neuer Euro ausgegeben werden.
Dabei hat der Klub Möglichkeiten, viel Geld zu generieren. Durch Verkäufe. Im vergangenen Jahr soll PSG 250 Millionen Euro für Youngster Lamine Yamal (17) geboten haben. Ein Verkauf kam für die Bosse aber nicht infrage.
Lieber verscherbelt Barça seine Zukunft.
Um frische Kohle zu bekommen, hatte der Klub bereits mehrmals Anteile an seinen TV-Rechten veräußert. Ein US-Investor erhält jetzt 25 Prozent der TV-Einnahmen des Vereins – für die kommenden 25 Jahre! Dafür hatte Barça über 600 Mio. Euro erhalten. Eine sofortige Finanzspritze, um weitere Millionen-Transfers tätigen zu können. Das TV-Geld wird aber in den kommenden Jahren fehlen. So kann ein Klub nicht gesund wachsen. Die Folge: Barça wird womöglich neue Schulden machen müssen. Ein Teufelskreis.
Unfassbare Szene: Torwart wird zur Lachnummer
Der Klub-eigene TV-Sender „Barça TV“ wurde schon abgeschaltet. Zu teuer. Nach 24 Jahren ist der Sender vom Netz. Die neueste Kohle-Idee der Bosse. Die VIP-Logen im renovierten Camp Nou sollen verkauft werden. Barça hofft auf 100 Millionen Euro an Einnahmen. Ein Tropfen auf den heißen Schulden-Stein.
Warum nicht ein Zwangsabstieg? Ein Neuanfang in der 2. Liga? Die spanische Liga sollte sich ein Beispiel an der französischen nehmen. Barça muss gestoppt werden! Denn: Sie leben seit Jahren weit über ihre Verhältnisse.
