Právě NSA posílá na MotoGP sto milionů korun (a zopakuje to i v dalších dvou letech), Jihomoravský kraj odsouhlasil dotaci 35 milionů a stejnou částku také město Brno. „Akce bohužel nemůže být zisková. Rozpočet je vyrovnaný, za což jsme rádi, ale bez veřejnoprávních podpor by tomu tak určitě nebylo,“ říká prezident Autoklubu Jan Šťovíček.
Podle pořadatelů se z příjmů ze vstupného utrží 125 milionů korun, od sponzorů to bude 12 milionů, protože možnosti reklamy jsou pro organizátory omezené. „Bude to ale obrovská možnost prezentovat zemi ve světě. Navíc zhruba 50 procent jde z veřejných peněz a půlka ze soukromých. To není obvyklé a naše podpora sportovních akcí je obvykle vyšší,“ uvedl Šebek. Zásah závodu činí zhruba 400 milionů lidí skrz televizní vysílání, dalších 50 milionů na sociálních sítích a 200 tisíc přímo na místě.
Šťovíček, Šebek i třeba ředitel České centrály cestovního ruchu František Reismüller unisono tvrdí, že podpora se vrátí do státního rozpočtu i do rozpočtu municipalit zdaněním tržeb, které MotoGP přinese. „Aktuálně je dle našich dat obsazeno 88 procent ubytovacích kapacit, což je o desítky procent více než během běžných letních víkendů,“ říká Reismüller.
A Šťovíček přidává zkušenost, že na závodní víkend se cena hotelů zdražila třikrát čtyřikrát a je nutné si ubytování rezervovat od čtvrtka do pátku. „Mimochodem, jsme tři týdny před akcí a my už jsme do státního rozpočtu odvedli 20 milionů korun na DPH,“ popisuje Šťovíček.
Je to zásadní změna, jak stát začal MotoGP vnímat. Předchozí majitel brněnského okruhu Karel Abraham častokrát při snaze o dotaci narážel, ministr financí Miroslav Kalousek dokonce v roce 2011 přirovnával závod k matějské: „Na matějské pouti se taky vybere DPH do státního rozpočtu, a pan Kočka přesto nechce po státu ani korunu.“
Teď už má okruh nový majitel Karel Hubáček. „Změna vlastníka byla zcela zásadní, že se podařilo MotoGP do Brna vrátit,“ říká Šťovíček.
Hubáček nechal opravit na okruhu asfalt za 180 milionů korun, což byla podmínka, aby se MotoGP v Brně znovu konalo. Tato investice ale není započítána do rozpočtu závodu.
