Heinz zu BILD: „Dass wir es so weit geschafft haben, ist super. Wir haben den 2. Tag schon mit einem großen Stack begonnen. Kurz vor dem Ende des Tages ging es aber nochmal richtig nach oben.“ Folge: Spitzenreiter! Eine wichtige Schlüsselhand: Mit Ass und Dame macht Heinz mit der letzten Karte die Straße, sein Gegner hatte zwei Paare und zahlte den Deutschen aus. Ein sehr wichtiger Moment. Läuft es in diesen Momenten für einen, kann es zum großen Coup reichen.
Drama in der Nachspielzeit: Wilde Jagdszenen auf Inter-Star
Kurios: Weil das Turnier ein Tag-Team-Event ist, kann man sich mit seinem Partner jederzeit abwechseln. Für Heinz war das aber keine Option. Kumpel Rabas war bei einem anderen Turnier sehr weit gekommen, sodass er die ganze Zeit alleine spielen musste. Im Finale werden aber wieder beide zocken.
Die Poker-Kumpels Rabas und Heinz wohnen beide in der österreichischen Hauptstadt Wien. Es ist das Mekka für deutsche Zocker. Zusammen wohnen sie aber nicht. Heinz lebt mit Poker-Top-Talent Tom Fuchs in einer WG, der zum Team Pokercode vom deutschen Superstar Fedor Holz gehört. Bisher sorgte er lediglich für die Schlagzeilen im Poker-Zirkus – jetzt will Heinz aber nachziehen.
[–>Neben seinen selteneren Live-Auftritten ist Heinz sehr häufig auf der Streamer-Plattform Twitch unter dem Namen „Q_Poker“ zu sehen. Dort bringt er seinen Zuschauern das 1-mal-1 des Pokerns bei. Kein Wunder, dass ihm viele Fans in der Nacht von Donnerstag auf Freitag die Daumen drücken werden.
Neben Heinz hat aber auch noch Sternheimer die Chance auf Gold. Bei der 50.000 Dollar Poker Players Championship liegt er nach dem 2. Tag im Mittelfeld. Sollte er nochmal einen richtigen Lauf haben, könnte er sein 2. Gold-Armband in diesem Sommer holen. Für Marius Gierse und Robert Ashelm, der das Feld nach dem 2. Tag anführte, wurde es nichts mit einem Sieg. Gierse wurde Sechster, kassierte 135.000 Euro. Ashelm musste sich mit Platz 14 zufriedengeben, bekam immerhin noch 40.000 Euro.

Pete Alonso signing with Orioles: Mets slugger bolts for Baltimore on five-year, $155 million contract
The Baltimore Orioles have agreed to terms with the top power hitter remaining on the free agent market. The O's and first baseman Pete Alonso have agreed to a five-year contract worth $155 million, CBS Sports has confirmed. The deal does not include any opt outs, per the New York Post. The team has not yet announced the signing. The signing comes one day after it was reported the Orioles offered Kyle Schwarber the same five-year, $150 million contract he took to return to the Philadelphia Phillies. Essentially, the O's added $1 million per year to that contract, pivoted to Alonso, and got it done. The $31 million is the second-highest average annual value ever given to a first baseman.
