Seit seinem Kreuzbandriss im Dezember 2023 hat David Alaba (33) nur 14 Pflichtspiele für Real Madrid absolviert. Am Rande der Klub-WM arbeitete der Österreicher in den USA an seinem Comeback. Doch daraus wird – mal wieder – nichts.
Denn Alaba hat sich eine Muskelverletzung in der linken Wade zugezogen, muss so den nächsten Verletzungsschock verkraften. Das haben die Königlichen am Freitag offiziell verkündet.

Damit ist für ihn die Klub-WM gelaufen. Alaba wird bei dem neuen Mega-Turnier nicht mehr zum Einsatz kommen.
So muss Neu-Real-Trainer Xabi Alonso für den K.o-Kracher im Achtelfinale der Klub-WM gegen Juventus (Di., 21 Uhr, DAZN) auf Alaba verzichten.
Wie lange der Ex-Bayern-Star (von 2010 bis 2021 bei den Profis des deutschen Rekordmeisters) ausfallen wird, hängt vom Heilungsverlauf ab.

Seine Krankenakte ist in den letzten Jahren prall gefüllt. Nach dem Kreuzbandriss im Dezember 2023 folgte im Februar 2025 eine Adduktoren-Verletzung, bevor ihn Ende April ein Meniskusriss erneut zurückwarf.
Vor dem letzten Gruppenspiel gegen Salzburg (3:0) hatte Alonso noch gesagt: „David wird noch etwas Zeit brauchen. Wir gehen Schritt für Schritt, aber wir müssen noch ein bisschen warten.“
[–>Durch die miese Verletzungsserie hat Alaba seinen Stammplatz bei Real verloren, ist aktuell hinter Antonio Rüdiger, Raul Asencio, Eder Militao und Neuzugang Dean Huijsen (kam von Bournemouth) nur noch Innenverteidiger-Option Nummer fünf.

Eine Vertragsverlängerung (noch bis Juni 2026) gilt deshalb als ausgeschlossen. Hinzu kommt: Alaba kassiert wohl ein Jahres-Gehalt in Höhe von knapp 20 Millionen Euro.
Trotzdem gibt es gute Nachrichten für Alonso: Denn Eder Militao steht nach seinen zwei Kreuzbandrissen unmittelbar vor einer Rückkehr in den Kader.
