Hašioka prošel v týdnu zdravotní prohlídkou, všechny strany doladily transfer, a tak očekávané změně adresy již nic nestálo v cestě.
„Daikiho jsme sledovali tři roky, prošel naším skautsko-analytickým systémem. Je univerzální, výborný hlavičkář. Získáváme hráče se zkušenostmi z Premier League i národního týmu, který prošel všemi výběry Japonska. Mimo sportovní přínos věřím, že se nám díky němu mohou otevřít i další zajímavé možnosti, jak Slavii posunout, posílit její pozici na asijském trhu,“ uvedl pro klubový web sportovní ředitel Jiří Bílek.
„Slavia Praha je tým s velkou historií. Sledoval jsem její zápasy v Lize mistrů, třeba ten proti Barceloně. Jsem nadšený, i proto jsem si vybral Slavii a její fanoušky. Jsou neskuteční, každý den se na ně koukám na YouTube. I moje rodina mi říkala, že vytváří jedinečnou kulisu, ať sem jdu hrát. Nemůžu se dočkat,“ zmínil Hašioka.
Japonský krajní obránce, jenž by měl na pravém kraji hřiště vytvořit konkurenci českému reprezentantovi Davidu Douděrovi, disponuje hodně zajímavým životopisem.
Tři a půl sezony kopal nejvyšší soutěž v Belgii za Saint-Truidense, kam přišel z japonské Urawy v lednu 2021. Zapsal dvě branky a třináct asistencí v 86 duelech. Zde si jej v polovině ročníku 2023/2024 vyhlédl Luton, za nějž odehrál Hašioka deset zápasů v prestižní Premier League. Sestupu z elitní ligy nezabránil. V uplynulém ročníku zasáhl Hašioka do sedmnácti utkání druhé nejvyšší soutěže a Luton opět spadl o patro níže. I kvůli zdravotním potížím se ale od února na hřišti neobjevil a v žádné z anglických lig nedal gól, ani si nepřipsal asistenci.
Hašioka je také členem japonské reprezentace, jejíž dres zatím oblékl při jedenácti příležitostech.
