O jornalismo esportivo do Rio Grande do Sul, e do Brasil, sofreu uma grande perda na noite desta sexta-feira (27). Faleceu Ruy Carlos Ostermann, aos 90 anos. O comunicador estava internado desde o mês de maio no Hospital Moinhos de Vento, em Porto Alegre, após ter sido diagnosticado com dengue e ter sofrido complicações causadas pela doença.
A trajetória marcante de Ruy Carlos Ostermann
Figura emblemática no jornalismo esportivo, o professor, como era chamado Ruy Carlos Ostermann, construiu uma trajetória marcante no Rio Grande do Sul. Nascido em 26 de setembro de 1934, em São Leopoldo, Ostermann teve passagens pela Rádio Gaúcha e pela Rádio Guaíba. Por 33 anos, foi âncora do Sala de Redação, programa de debate promovido pela Rádio Gaúcha.
Também foi escritor e cronista, atuando na Folha da Manhã e Folha da Tarde, na década de 1960. Ao todo, participou da cobertura de 13 Copas do Mundo, entre 1966 e 2014, noticiando três títulos mundiais da seleção brasileira.
Fora do futebol, era formado em Filosofia e foi professor em escolas e na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Por dois mandatos, em 1982 e 1986, foi deputado estadual e também atuou como secretário estadual de Ciência e Tecnologia, e de Educação, durante o governo de Pedro Simon.
Escreveu livros ligados a Grêmio e Internacional
Ruy Carlos Ostermann foi responsável por escrever livros que marcaram gerações e contaram histórias importantes sobre Internacional e Grêmio. Pelo lado colorado, o professor é autor do livro “Meu Coração é Vermelho”, que narra a história do Clube do Povo no século XX. Já pelo lado tricolor, escreveu a trajetória de um dos maiores ídolos do clube, Luiz Felipe Scolari, no livro “Felipão, a Alma do Penta”, que trata sobre o título mundial conquistado em 2002.
Internacional e Grêmio se despedem de Ruy Carlos Ostermann
Com tanta história construída e sendo uma figura imprescindível na comunicação esportiva gaúcha, Ostermann foi homenageado pelos dois maiores clubes do estado. O Internacional desejou solidariedade a toda a família e aos amigos.
O Grêmio, da mesma forma, ressaltou a trajetória marcante do professor e se solidarizou com os entes próximos ao comunicador. “Ruy contou as glórias do nosso esporte com competência e elegância”, publicou o clube.
