Marc Márquez y el ‘catenaccio’ más reivindicativo

En 2015, Marc Márquez iba detrás de Valentino Rossi e intentó adelantar al de Tavullia en la chicane final de Assen. Se tocaron, El Doctor se fue por la escapatoria de tierra y llegó primero a la meta. Los comisarios no alteraron el resultado. En teoría, los dos ‘cracks’ aún se llevaban bien, aunque en realidad, en Argentina ya tuvieron un encontronazo y la relación estaba ‘tocada’. ‘¿Qué has aprendido hoy de Valentino?’, le preguntaron en la rueda de prensa al 93. “He aprendido motocross”, soltó ante la risa de todos, incluida la de El Doctor.

En realidad, el ilerdense aprendió mucho más en esa acción. Aparte de otros aspectos en el Mundial de MotoGP, respecto al trazado neerlandés supo ver que el que va primero en él tiene muchos números de ganar. Más aún en esta época actual en la que las motos son más anchas por las alas y generan turbulencias al de detrás.

Por eso al leridano le molestó mucho que tras el Sprint algunos dudaran sobre la ausencia de ataques directos de su hermano Álex, que ni pudo tentar una pasada. El del Ducati oficial saldó cuentas en la carrera larga, que otro ejercicio perfecto de ‘catenaccio’, una obra de arte defensiva. Estuvo impecable cerrando todas las puertas, sin cometer un solo error en el tercer sector, y, luego, abriendo el hueco suficiente en el cuarto y el primero para que Bezzecchi ni pudiera tirarse.

Por eso, el octocampeón fue reivindicativo. “Diría que respeten a todos los pilotos. Me hablaban hasta mis mecánicos después de que algunos dudaran de Álex. ¿Por qué Marco no me atacó?. El sábado defendí de la mejor manera a Álex y el domingo, a Marco. Assen es muy estrecho y no puedes atacar, defendí muy bien. Respeto a los pilotos de MotoGP, todos defienden sus colores y todos quieren ganar, pero sólo uno puede ganar”, lanzó rotundo.

Por si había dudas, ‘Bez’, discípulo de Rossi en la Academia, certificaba todo. “Mi lucha era estar cerca, no atacar. El punto para pasar era en la última chicane, es donde pasé a otros, pero le cazaba en el sitio ‘inadecuado’. En ése área, la curva 15, con rebufo, no podía. Él era más fuerte, nunca tuve oportunidad de intentarlo. Pero estoy muy contento porque por primera vez fui muy competitivo toda la carrera. Iba al límite toda la carrera, no gestioné nada, apreté como un bastardo toda la carrera”, proclamó.

Por cierto que Marc ya es segundo como el que más victorias tiene en la clase reina, pues igualó las 68 de Giacomo Agostini y sólo tiene por delante… a Rossi, que cuenta con 89. Claro que viendo el ritmo que lleva… Sumó tres triunfos seguidos por primera vez desde 2019, lleva seis dobletes en 2025, es el primero que logra tres consecutivos y batió el récord de puntos sumados tras diez grandes premios desde que están los Sprint, 2023. Es la mejor manera de honrar los 100 años de carreras en ‘La Catedral’, de hacer disfrutar a los 200.104 espectadores que batieron el récord de asistencia a Assen de toda su historia. Con un ‘catenaccio’ ante dos italianos, Bezzecchi y Bagnaia. Estelar.
