La eterna polémica sobre la supuesta falta de mano de obra en la hostelería ha vuelto a incendiar las redes. Esta vez, ha sido el tuitero Jesús Soriano, conocido como @soycamarero, quien ha lanzado un mensaje directo a los empresarios del sector que, verano tras verano, repiten el mismo argumento: que no encuentran personal dispuesto a trabajar.
El clip muestra a Soriano contestando con claridad y sin rodeos a las quejas del sector en el podcast de Inés Hernand y Nerea Pérez de las Heras, ‘Saldremos Mejores’: “No es que no haya camareros, es que no se quieren pagar las condiciones dignas que merecen“. El corte, apenas de unos segundos, ha generado cientos de comentarios en redes sociales, muchos de ellos aplaudiendo su valentía por decir en voz alta lo que muchos piensan.
“Siempre salen en los medios: que si no encontramos profesionales, que si los jóvenes no quieren trabajar, que si somos unos vagos, que si estamos mejor en casa con las paguitas…”, lamentaba antes de explicar que el problema no es la falta de personal sino las condiciones laborales.
“Si de verdad están mejor en casa con las paguitas de 400 euros, qué estarán ofreciendo para que no quieran trabajar ahí, porque con ese dinero no vives”, criticó antes de enumerar las penosas condiciones laborales que arrastra la hostelería desde hace años: “Horas extras que muchas veces ni las huelen, el plus de nocturnidad que casi ningún camarero conoce, un día libre sólo a la semana, horarios en turnos partidos con los que no da tiempo ir a casa”.
Pésimas condiciones laborales en la hostelería
No es la primera vez que se enciende este debate. Cada temporada alta, coincidiendo con el repunte del turismo, empresarios de distintas regiones españolas denuncian que no encuentran empleados “ni ofreciendo trabajo”. Sin embargo, desde los sindicatos y muchos trabajadores se señala que el verdadero problema no es la falta de ganas de trabajar, sino la falta de condiciones laborales decentes.
La intervención del camarero ha servido de altavoz para una generación que se niega a aceptar como normal la precariedad. Una generación que, como él mismo apuntaba en su declaración, está dispuesta a trabajar, pero no a cualquier precio.
