The 2026 FIFA World Cup is still a year away, but preparations are already underway for the global soccer tournament that will take place all across North America. The upcoming World Cup has expanded from 32 to 48 teams, with a total of 104 matches played in 15 major cities around the U.S., Mexico and Canada. With fans from every country clamoring to see the action in person, tickets will be in high demand, but buying them won’t necessarily be as simple as buying them on Ticketmaster. While some multi-game packages are currently on sale (and cost a pretty penny to attend), tickets to individual matches aren’t yet available (nor is a full schedule of games, but you can take a peek at the rough schedule, which doesn’t include team groupings yet, here).
If you’re interested in buying tickets to the 2026 World Cup, here’s everything you need to know about getting multi-game packages, signing up to learn about single-game purchases, pricing and more.
How to get tickets to the 2026 World Cup:
Currently, the only tickets that are now on sale for the 2026 World Cup are hospitality packages that guarantee fans seats to a set number of matches, a group of matches all at the same venue, or for a single team’s early games. These tickets cost far more than a regular single-game ticket would, starting at $5,300, with some packages starting at $8.275, but there are several exceptions to some of these packages, including the fact that games featuring host countries the U.S., Mexico and Canada are excluded from hospitality packages. Fans who are interested in purchasing an 8-match package or requesting VIP seating can sign up for a special registration list here to do so.

If these packages are out of your price range, you’re likely wondering how to go about buying single match tickets; the bad news is that they are not on sale yet and won’t be until later this year. The good news is that you can register on the FIFA website and be one of the first to know when they do go on sale.
