Weltmeister Max Verstappen (27) wird mit Mercedes in Verbindung gebracht. Laut Sky Italia gab es in der Nacht zu Mittwoch bereits konkrete Verhandlungen zwischen dem Superstar und dem Rennstall. Die Gespräche seien in einer entscheidenden Phase, eine Einigung wäre zum Greifen nahe.
Nach Informationen von SPORT BILD ist es so weit noch nicht.

Nach elf Rennen liegt Verstappen 46 Zähler hinter Norris und sogar 61 hinter Piastri.
JA – es finden Gespräche zwischen Mercedes und der Verstappen-Seite statt. Wolff und Verstappen-Manager Raymond Vermeulen laufen sich im Fahrerlager ohnehin ständig über den Weg. Und mit Jos Verstappen ist Wolff gut befreundet.
Aber NEIN – eine Einigung ist nicht in Sicht.

Dr. Helmut Marko (82), Motorsport-Boss von Red Bull, sagte nach dem Rennen in Spielberg bei Sky zur Zukunft seines Fahrers: „Es gibt einen Vertrag bis 2028. Der Vertrag hat Ausstiegsklauseln, die leistungsbezogen sind. Nach derzeitigem Stand gibt es keinen Grund daran zu zweifeln, dass der Vertrag erfüllt wird.“
Fakt ist: Die Spekulationen werden auch rund um das Rennen in Silverstone (Sonntag, 16 Uhr, Sky live, Liveticker bei BILD.de) nicht abreißen.
