Wimbledon-Wunder durch Jan-Lennard Struff! Der Deutsche sorgt für eine Sensation und steht in der 3. Runde. Er besiegt den favorisierten Felix Auger-Aliassime (24) mit 3:6, 7:6 (11:9), 6:3, 6:4. Am Freitag wartet nun Superstar Carlos Alcaraz (22) auf ihn.

Der Kanadier Auger-Aliassime kann nicht zeigen, warum er fast 100 Plätze besser platziert ist. Am Mittwochabend wurde das Match wegen Dunkelheit unterbrochen und am Donnerstag bei Hitze fortgesetzt. Struff geht mit einem guten Gefühl in den zweiten Tag, nachdem er den dramatischen Tie Break mit 11:9 gewonnen hatte.
