Nesta terça-feira (8), o Fluminense foi dominado pelo Chelsea, perdeu por 2 a 0 e está eliminado do Mundial de Clubes da Fifa. O jovem João Pedro foi o nome do jogo de semifinal, aplicou a famosa “lei do ex” e marcou dois belos gols contra o clube que o revelou ao futebol.
Apesar da eliminação, o Tricolor Carioca fez história no torneio. Apelidado de “patinho feio” por Renato Gaúcho, o “time de guerreiros” eliminou a Inter de Milão, a vice-campeã da Champions League, e o Al-Hilal, que deixou para trás simplesmente o Manchester City de Pep Guardiola.
Chelsea vence parcialmente em 1º tempo polêmico
O Flu foi dominado nos primeiros minutos. Com erros de passe, o time brasileiro sentiu dificuldades de se organizar ofensivamente e viu a equipe inglesa ter mais posse e ações ofensivas. Aos 17 minutos, Pedro Neto cruzou, Thiago Silva cortou apenas parcialmente e a bola sobrou para João Pedro, que dominou e acertou um belo chute no canto de Fábio; revelado pelo Tricolor, ele não comemorou em respeito.
Aos 25′, o Fluminense ameaçou pela primeira vez. Em jogada coletiva, Cano deixou Hércules na cara do gol e o volante tirou do goleiro na finalização, mas o lateral Cucurella salvou na linha do gol. A partir disso, o time das Laranjeiras ganhou moral e conseguiu ameaçar o adversário com maior eficiente na reta final da primeira etapa.
Na faixa dos 35 minutos, um lance polêmico aconteceu: Renê cruzou, a bola bateu no braço de Chalobah e o árbitro deu pênalti, porém o VAR interferiu e o juiz voltou atrás na decisão inicial. Os torcedores do Tricolor Carioca ficaram na bronca com a jogada.
Fluminense não consegue reagir e é eliminado
O Chelsea voltou melhor do intervalo, mas o Tricolor deu a resposta e ameaçou em bola esticada para Everaldo, que entrou no lugar do argentino Germán Cano. No entanto, o clube brasileiro se abriu demais e foi punido em contra-ataque, novamente com ótima jogada e finalização de João Pedro. 2 a 0.
O time europeu enfileirou chances para aumentar o placar e deixou o Flu com poucas reações durante grande parte do segundo tempo. Os comandados de Renato Gaúcho tentaram e tiveram algumas oportunidades já na reta final, porém nada foi suficiente para evitar a eliminação no inédito torneio da Fifa.
Reta final do Mundial de Clubes
Após a classificação do Chelsea, a Copa do Mundo de Clubes da Fifa tem nova decisão nesta quarta-feira (9), em embate europeu entre PSG e Real Madrid. Quem vencer avança na competição e joga a grande final no domingo (13), às 16h (de Brasília), nos Estados Unidos.
