After long years of tough games and Olympic teamwork, LeBron James and Stephen Curry might be moving towards a long-waited partnership, but not to play basketball.
From a new scoop by Athlon Sports, both NBA stars might come together again, this time as part of the team covering NBA games for Amazon Prime Video.

From opponents to mates?
It seems this idea comes from LeBron and Amazon growing closer in business. Sources told Front Office Sports that LeBron might step into a new role as a broadcaster for Prime Video, as it ups it’s game in NBA shows. At the same time, Amazon seems to be bringing in Dell Curry, Stephs dad, as an expert, making it more likely to bring in Steph too.
This follows their win at the 2024 Paris Olympics with Team USA, where they grabbed gold and grew their respect for each other. They have clashed in five playoff series, with four in the NBA Finals, but 2024 was the first time they were on the same side in a team.
Could they create a partnership in the NBA?
The dream of seeing LeBron and Steph play together in the NBA has excited fans for years, and it almost happened in 2024. The Golden State Warriors went big in trying to trade for LeBron, but the Los Angeles Lakers did not bite the trap. However, their time they spent together at the Olympics has fired up new talks about them possibly joining forces later in their careers.
Curry has unfortunately cooled down these ideas. In a talk with ESPNs Malika Andrews, he said playing with LeBron in the NBA is probably not happening, though he did talk about their good vibes and friendship.

It all started at the golf course
Off the sports court, both stars have bonded over golf. LeBron shared news of starting golf, leading to a fun reply from Curry:
“Welcome. We’ve been waiting for you.”
Curry, who loves golf and won the 2023 American Century Championship, is happy about LeBron getting into golf. Their shared love for the sport has sparked even more chatter of them working together, it being in sports media, business, or charity events.
With both nearing the end of their playing days, LeBron will be 41 next season, and Curry will be 38, Amazon’s moves look like a long-term play. By bringing in Dell Curry and chasing LeBron, the streaming company might be setting up to bring two huge names to its NBA coverage team.
“Where there’s smoke, there’s fire between LeBron James and Amazon,” noted Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports.
While a true NBA partnership seems far, the growing link between LeBron and Steph in games, business, and media hints we have not seen the last of this legendary duo. Whether it is in a commentary box, on a golf course, or a surprising move late in their careers, the bond these two legends share keeps getting stronger.
