A viral moment took place on Kay Adams‘ Up & Adams show, where she hosted Kansas City Chiefs guard Trey Smith for a sit-down conversation.
As they chatted about football, fans were completely distracted by the image onscreen: a 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive lineman seated next to Adams, who stands just over five feet tall. The staggering visual difference quickly set off a flurry of reactions online.
Social media users wasted no time poking fun at the size mismatch with a flood of humorous comments. “Even knowing that Kay is tiny and Trey is gigantic, seeing the size difference between these two humans is shocking,” one user wrote.
Another chimed in with: “Can we get Kay a stack of books to sit on?”
“This feels like some camera perspective trickery, like how they made all the Hobbits look Hobbity in Lord of the Rings,” a third added.
Adams claps back with humor as fans target Smith’s chair too
Adams, well-known for her playful interactions with NFL stars and quick wit on social media, wasn’t rattled by the sudden flood of jokes. Instead, she joined in the fun herself.
Quoting one of the many viral posts, she tweeted: “And you thought Patrick Mahomes made me look teeny.”
While the bulk of the attention was aimed at Adams‘ petite frame, some fans turned their focus toward Smith and more specifically, the tiny chair he was squeezed into.
