Carlo Ancelotti acompanhou a final do Mundial de Clubes entre Chelsea e PSG no MetLife Stadium em Nova York no último domingo e fez importantes analises pensando no futuro da seleção brasileira. Os “alvos” foram quatro jogadores que podem estar em futuras convocações do técnico italiano.
“Os jogadores brasileiros jogaram muito bem. Acho que, individualmente, o Estêvão jogou muito bem, o João Pedro foi importante na semifinal e na final, o Andrey Santos foi importante para o Chelsea. E o Militão voltou e será importante para a seleção no ano que vem”, apontou Ancelotti.
Vale ressaltar que no caso de Estêvão e João Pedro, os dois foram incorporados ao elenco do Chelsea, recentemente. O primeiro disputou o Mundial pelo Palmeiras, e o segundo, é uma contratação vinda do Brighton.
Técnico italiano trabalhou nos três times
Vale lembrar que Carlo Ancelotti cita os dois clubes com conhecimento de causa, afinal o treinador já dirigiu ambos.
No Chelsea, ele esteve no comando por duas temporadas (2009-2010 e 2010-2011). Nos Blues, o profissional conquistou a Premier League na temporada 2009-2010, além de uma Copa da Inglaterra e a Supercopa do país. Já pelo Real Madrid, são nada menos que 15 títulos, entre La Liga e UEFA Champions League.
Presidente da CBF e diretor de seleções também estavam presentes
O fato é que, além de “Carleto”, estavam representando a CBF ao acompanhar a decisão do torneio de clubes, o presidente da CBF, Samir Xaud, e o coordenador executivo de seleções, Rodrigo Caetano. Xaud que afirmou, nos EUA, a intenção do Brasil de receber a próxima edição do Mundial de Clubes da FIFA em 2029.
Seleção volta a jogar em setembro pelas Eliminatórias
João Pedro, Andrey Santos, Militão e Estêvão esperam estar na lista do elenco que vai enfrentar Chile e Bolívia em setembro. Brasil x Chile jogam no Maracanã, enquanto o duelo contra os bolivianos não tem lugar definido, ainda. Os brasileiros estão garantidos na Copa do Mundo de 2026.
