2025 College Football Predictions, Picks: Back Georgia Tech, Utah in Week 1

<!--> [--> Geoff Schwartz FOX Sports Betting Analyst <!--> --> Is anyone else counting down the days until the college football season kicks off? I know I'm not the only one. I think we all started marking the days on the calendar as soon as Ohio State won it all back in January.Considering we're only a little more than a month out, I figured I'd go ahead and look at some games to sprinkle a little cash on.There are two so far that have caught my eye for Week 1. Bengals star Ja’Marr Chase predicts when the NFL will have a 2,000-yard receiver, plus which player will do it

Ja'Marr Chase is all about making history. The Cincinnati Bengals star recorded the franchise's first receiving "triple crown" in 2024, leading the NFL in catches, yards and touchdowns. He then parlayed that production into a $161 million contract, becoming the highest-paid pass catcher in football. Now he's got his sights set on a new feat: 2,000 receiving yards in a season.Speaking with CBS Sports this week as part of a new partnership with General Mills, the All-Pro said the NFL's first 2,000-yard receiving season is "closer than people expect." One year after Saquon Barkley eclipsed the mark as a rusher for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, Chase predicts wideouts will soon follow suit."The next three years, somebody has to do it," he said, "if it's not me."So which receivers are the safest bets to break Calvin Johnson's all-time record […]

MLB Power Rankings: Rested and refreshed out of the All-Star break, which teams are poised for a playoff push?

CBS Sports design Sometimes you just need a little break. The Detroit Tigers limped into the All-Star break, losing four straight games for the first time this season. Still, they were well-represented at the All-Star Game and rightfully so, as they brought the best record in baseball into the break. This is the first time they've had the top record at the break since 2006. They remain on pace for their best record since that magical season that was 1984. The Los Angeles Dodgers just went through their longest losing streak since 2017, but they closed the break with two wins and sit in first by 5 ½ games with the best record in the National League. The Toronto Blue Jays were the hottest team in baseball and had a 3 ½-game lead in the AL East, only to end the first half […]

And it was Kyle Schwarber that delivered the NL's greatest heroics in the swing-off. He drilled all three of his swings over the fence to put his squad in front for good, and in turn, he hauled in the MVP honor after what was an otherwise quiet, 0-for-2 night at the dish. Schwarber is the first non-pitcher in MLB history to win the All-Star Game MVP award […]
