Marc-André ter Stegen (33) wurde beim FC Barcelona nach jahrelangem Dasein als Stammtorwart zur Nummer 3 degradiert, soll den Verein verlassen. Doch bislang hat der deutsche Nationaltorhüter öffentlich keine Wechsel-Absichten geäußert.
Seit Montag trainiert Barça wieder. Ter Stegen stand jedoch weder am Montag noch am Dienstag auf dem Platz. Stattdessen arbeitete er individuell im Fitnessraum. Bislang gab es keine Begründung – das änderte sich jetzt!

Zwar schreibt Barça in seiner offiziellen Mitteilung zu den Dienstags-Trainingseinheiten nur, „Marc-André ter Stegen trainierte allein im Kraftraum der Ciutat Esportiva [Trainingsgelände von Barça, d. Red.]“, doch spanischen Medien kennen offenbar den Grund dafür. Laut „Marca“ handele es sich um ein physisches Problem, „as“ schreibt in Berufung auf Informationen aus dem Verein von Rückenschmerzen.
Aber: Die spanische Zeitung berichtet weiter, diese Angabe höre sich mehr wie eine Ausrede als alles andere an. Es gebe keinen medizinischen Bericht, der diese Diagnose bestätige. Zudem wäre es dem Bericht zufolge äußert unverantwortlich von ter Stegen, wenn er verletzt aus dem Urlaub zurückkämme, ohne die Vereins-Ärzte vorher zu informieren.
Nach SPORT BILD-Informationen stimmt es, dass ter Stegen nach seiner Verletzung noch nicht bei 100 Prozent ist. Dass er deshalb nicht am Mannschaftstraining teilnehmen darf, ist aber ein erneuter Fingerzeig des Klubs, dass er den Verein verlassen soll.

Ter Stegen ist bei Barça nur noch Nummer 3. Das hat ihm Trainer Hansi Flick (60) persönlich mitgeteilt. Spanien-Keeper Joan Garcia (24/kam von Stadtrivale Espanyol) ist die neue Nummer 1, Wojciech Szczesny (35/neuer Zwei-Jahres-Vertrag) Nummer 2.
Ter Stegen hatte sich am 22. September beim Barça-Spiel gegen Villarreal (5:1) einen Patellasehnenriss zugezogen. Bis dahin war er bei den Katalanen als Kapitän absolut gesetzt. Am Ende der vergangenen Saison kehrte er zurück – stand aber nur in 2 von 6 möglichen Spielen in der Aufstellung.
Nun deutet alles auf ein deutlich unrühmliches Ende von ter Stegen bei Barça hin. Nach 11 Jahren im Verein, mehr als 8 Jahren als Stammtorwart, insgesamt 422 Einsätzen und zahlreichen gemeinsamen Titeln.
