Cappellanes fala sobre incômodo de Abel Ferreira em coletiva do Palmeiras: “Você tem que saber aguentar”

A entrevista coletiva do técnico Abel Ferreira ficou marcada por uma polêmica após uma pergunta forte do jornalista João Paulo Cappellanes, da Band, sobre o baixo rendimento do time alviverde na temporada 2025, mesmo após um grande investimento de mais de R$ 500 milhões na contratação de novos jogadores para o elenco.

O treinador do Verdão parece não ter gostado da pergunta e respondeu de forma seca.  “Por que investiu meio bilhão? Se você não sabe, eu vou explicar. Sabe quanto vendemos em jogadores? Mais de R$ 1,5 bilhão, em cinco anos. Se o Palmeiras compra é porque tem dinheiro para pagar. Faturou em títulos e vendas para comprar jogadores”, respondeu Abel Ferreira.

“Isso é uma opinião sua e não vou discutir. Nós, há um mês e meio, estávamos em primeiro na Libertadores e em primeiro no campeonato. Agora, não estamos passando um bom momento. […] Se estamos tão mal por que outros times vêm buscar nossos jogadores? Uma coisa eu tenho que assumir, não fizemos um bom jogo, mas entendo a narrativa que se cria. Os nossos torcedores começam a acreditar naquilo que vocês dizem”, prosseguiu.

Cappelanes critica resposta do treinador português

Presente no programa “Jogo Aberto” desta quinta-feira (17), Cappellanes explicou que fez a pergunta porque percebeu que muitos torcedores do Palmeiras estavam criticando o time e que já esperava uma resposta não amistosa do comandante alviverde. “Na entrevista coletiva, se você faz uma pergunta incisiva, você tem que saber aguentar também… Fez uma pergunta firme, segure a pedra que vem do outro lado. Não tenho mimimi com isso”, iniciou.

Segundo ele, geralmente, as perguntas que são feitas para Abel Ferreira costumam ser muito leves e criticou a resposta do treinador. “Eu acho que as entrevistas coletivas no Palmeiras são muitas vezes um ‘café com chá com o Abel’. Tem que fazer perguntas incisivas. O Abel não aguenta uma pergunta que fuja um pouquinho da linha que ele está acostumado. Ele leva para o coração e fica melindrado.”

Próximo compromisso do Palmeiras

Depois do surpreendente empate em casa diante do Mirassol, o Verdão se prepara para jogar novamente no Allianz Parque neste domingo (20), quando recebe a visita do Atlético-MG, pela 15ª rodada do Brasileirão. A bola rola a partir das 17h30 (horário de Brasília) e marca o reencontro do Verdão com Rony, Gabriel Menino e Scarpa entre outros ex-atletas.

Na partida, o clube paulista terá alguns desfalques importantes. O centroavante Flaco López recebeu o terceiro cartão amarelo diante do Mirassol e terá que cumprir suspensão automática. Além dele, o lateral-direito Agustín Giay e o zagueiro Murilo seguem de fora em recuperação de lesões. Vitor Roque, que foi substituído com dores na panturrilha, não tem lesão e está liberado para jogar.
