Vom Top-Talent zum Phantom!
Einst traf Paco Alcácer (31) für Borussia Dortmund wie im Rausch. Zwölf Tore in elf Bundesliga-Spielen zum Start, Rekord-Joker, Liebling der Südtribüne. Heute, keine sieben Jahre später, sucht der Spanier im Alter von 31 Jahren verzweifelt einen neuen Verein.
Sein Absturz begann schleichend. Dabei war Alcácer einst eines der größten Sturm-Talente Spaniens. In Valencia feierte er als Teenager sein Debüt, schoss sich mit 43 Toren in die Notizbücher der Topklubs. 2016 erfüllte er sich den Traum: Wechsel zum FC Barcelona für 30 Millionen Euro. Dort holte er Titel am Fließband – spanischer Meister, zweimal Pokalsieger, einmal Supercup – doch der große Durchbruch blieb ihm verwehrt. Messi, Suárez & Co. ließen kaum Spielzeit übrig.
2018 kam Dortmund. Ein Glücksgriff: der gebürtige Valencianer traf auf Anhieb, war eiskalt als Einwechselspieler. Doch als die ersten Verletzungen kamen und ein gewisser Erling Haaland die Bühne betrat, war für Paco kaum noch Platz.
Zurück in Spanien sollte Villarreal der Neuanfang werden. Er wurde zum teuersten Transfer der Klubgeschichte und holte 2021 mit dem „Gelben U-Boot“ sogar die Europa League. Doch der damalige Trainer Unai Emery (53) hatte andere Pläne – Alcácer wurde wenig später aufs Abstellgleis geschoben.

Es folgte der Schritt, den so viele machen, wenn sich die Karriere wohl dem Ende neigt: der Wechsel in die Wüste. Beim Sharjah FC, ein Klub direkt am Persischen Golf, begann alles noch gut. Alcácer traf, gewann in seiner ersten Saison League Cup, Supercup und President’s Cup. Doch die Einsatzzeiten wurden immer weniger.
Sein Marktwert? Einst 30 Millionen, zuletzt nur noch drei. Die Hoffnung, im Nahen Osten nochmal durchzustarten, erfüllte sich nicht. Stattdessen lieh ihn Sharjah an den Emirates Club aus, einen Aufsteiger mit Mini-Stadion und Mega-Niederlagenserie. Acht Tore reichten nicht, der Klub stieg ab.
Seine Rückkehr zu Sharjah? Ein Reinfall. Nur noch ein Tor, kaum noch Minuten. „Ich bin ein fröhlicher, witziger Mensch, aber wenn ich auf der Bank sitze, mag ich nichts mehr, dann bin ich ein komplizierter Typ“, sagte er mal zu BVB-Zeiten.
[–>Und jetzt? Vereinslos. Das einstige Top-Talent will wohl zurück nach Spanien, wenigstens zweite Liga. Ob einer anbeißt? Offen. Klar ist nur: Die Zeiten, in denen Paco Alcácer ganze Stadien mit einem Joker-Tor zum Beben brachte, scheinen vorbei.
Geht es in die nächste internationale unterklassige Liga? Mexikanische Medien berichten, dass er sich mit Meister Club Santos Laguna auf einen Wechsel geeinigt haben soll. Wieder keine Spitzenliga. Aber wenigstens ein Neustart – und vielleicht kann er sich dort wieder ins Schaufenster spielen.
Seine Bilanz bleibt trotzdem respektabel: Meister mit Barça, Europa-League-Sieger mit Villarreal, Supercupsieger mit Dortmund, doch Ruhm und Rekorde sind vergänglich. Bleibt nur die Frage: Zündet Paco noch einmal – oder verschwindet er endgültig im Off?

Hledá se forma. Zn. spěchá. Asi tak lze popsat rozpoložení, v němž se momentálně nachází třináctá Dukla i patnácté Teplice. Mančaft z Julisky vyhrál v nejvyšší soutěži jen 16. srpna proti Plzni, od daného momentu zaknihoval tři porážky (Sparta, Bohemians, Slavia) a dvě remízy. Jediný triumf Sklářů je ještě o dva týdny starší, porazili 3:0 Bohemians ve druhém kole. I proto dělí v tabulce obě mužstva jeden jediný bodík.Výrazně povedenější vstup do sezony si zajisté představovala i dvanáctá Mladá Boleslav, stejně jako čtrnácté Slovácko.
