El italiano Jannik Sinner, número uno del ránking ATP y reciente ganador de Wimbledon, anunció este miércoles que ha vuelto a nombrar a Umberto Ferrara como preparador físico con efecto inmediato, después de sustituirlo tras el caso de dopaje por el que tenista acordó con la WADA una sanción de tres meses por un doble positivo en Indian Wells en 2024.
“La decisión se ha tomado en consonancia con el equipo directivo de Jannik como parte de los preparativos en curso para los próximos torneos, incluidos el Abierto de Cincinnati y el US Open”, comunicó el equipo del tenista italiano en una nota.

Ferrara se unió al equipo de Jannik Sinner en 2022 y, tras su salida, continuó su carrera profesional en el tenis junto al también italiano Matteo Berrettini.
