For that reason, Davante Adams is preparing for the upcoming season during the Los Angeles Rams’ training camp. There, he had the opportunity to speak with the media, discussing his next challenges and emphasizing the importance of the upcoming season. Adams highlighted his motivation to prove himself in a new system and help elevate the team to a competitive level.
What Davante Adams Is Poised to Achieve This Season
Davante Adams is well-known as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, having delivered outstanding performances throughout his career. Now 32 years old, Adams is set to begin a new chapter in the league, entering the upcoming season with fresh challenges. He was originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers back in 2014.
One of the biggest challenges ahead for Adams is reaching the elite 1,000-catch club, that up to this moment only 16 players had this receptions in the league history. Currently, Adam stands at 957 career receptions. However, the veteran receiver has emphasized that personal milestones are not his main focus during the heat of the game.
“The thing is I’m not aware like of where I’m at half the time, like, if I have like a big catch game, I don’t know when I hit 10, I have no idea,” Adam said while talking with the media during the training camp of the team.
In addition to this, there is a big battle to see who’s going to enter this privileged group first. Adam is in competition against DeAndre Hopkins from the Baltimore Ravens that appeared with 984 catches and Keenan Allen from the Chicago Bears that had the mark of 974 catches.
However, Davante Adam has made it clear that during the game he is not aware of those marks but he is aware of his level during the game “Usually, if you got three catches that’s pretty easy, but once you start racking them up, like, yeah. ‘I’m just, my awareness level during a game, I’m so aware of where people are to where I can’t really know where my numbers are.”

Since his NFL debut in 2014, Davante Adams has showcased outstanding performances year after year. He’s been selected to the Pro Bowl six times and has twice led the league in receiving touchdowns, earning the title in both 2020 and 2022.
One notable aspect of Adams’ career is his consistency, he has never recorded fewer than 43 catches in a season, despite facing injuries, quarterback changes, and other challenges. His production has remained remarkably steady throughout the years.
