DIE deutsche Rad-Sensation seit Jahrzehnten ist perfekt!
Florian Lipowitz (24), erst seit fünf Jahren Radprofi, wird bei seiner ersten Tour de France gleich Dritter und sichert sich das Weiße Trikot des besten Nachwuchsfahrers. Das konnte zuletzt Jan Ullrich (51) in Paris überstreifen – vor 27 Jahren!
Auf den von teils heftigem Regen und daraus folgenden schlimmen Stürzen gekennzeichneten 184 Kilometern durch das Jura von Nantua nach Pontarlier lässt Super-Lipo nichts mehr anbrennen, kommt beim Sieg des Australiers Kaden Groves (26/Alpecin – Deceuninck) mit dem Hauptfeld um seinen Verfolger Oscar Onley (22/Picnic PostNL) ins Ziel.

Da auf der letzten Etappe am Sonntag von Mantes-la-Ville nach Paris traditionell nicht mehr angegriffen wird, steht auch der Gesamtsieger fest: Zum vierten Mal holt sich Tadej Pogacar (26/UAE Emirates) das Gelbe Trikot. Jünger als der Slowene war noch kein Profi bei seinem vierten Sieg. Zweiter ist wie im Vorjahr der Däne Jonas Vingegaard (28/Visma – Lease a bike).
Und dann: Florian, unser Super-Lipo! DRITTER! Der erste Deutsche auf dem Podest seit Andreas Klöden (50) 2006. Der sagt: „Lipowitz hat eine rosige Zukunft vor sich!“ Denn der Ex-Biathlet ist stark, auch ohne Team. Die Kollegen von Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe waren ihm keine große Hilfe. Primoz Roglic (35) fuhr, als klar war, dass Lipowitz besser ist, mehr gegen, als für ihn. Und der Rest war in den Bergen, wo es drauf ankommt, nicht zu sehen.
[–>Nun wird es über Lipowitz hereinbrechen: Medien-Anfragen, Einladungen in TV-Talkshows, von Markus Lanz bis zum ZDF-Sportstudio. Und was macht er? „Ich fahre mit meiner Freundin und ihren Eltern fünf Tage in Urlaub nach Südtirol. Verdient hat er es!
Mit dem Camper haben Vater und Mutter den Sohn bis Paris begleitet. Die Freundin, selbst Mountainbikerin, kam am zweiten Ruhetag und war oft mit dem Rad an der Strecke und feuerte ihren Liebsten an. Eine Familie, die Radsport lebt! Und was für Gefühle das sein werden, wenn alle zusammen am Sonntagabend auf der Champs-Élysées stehen.
Die letzte Etappe könnte übrigens neutralisiert stattfinden. Das heißt, es wird gefahren, aber das Rennen nicht gewertet. Grund soll der eventuelle Regen sein. Auf dem rutschigen Kopfsteinpflaster auf dem Pracht-Boulevard wären Stürze vorprogrammiert.

Manchester United survived Dominique Janssen's controversial red card to continue their 100 per cent start to life in the Champions League with a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid.Fridolina Rolfo had given the visitors the lead with her first goal for the club after an impressive opening 25 minutes, but United were left shellshocked just before half-time after Janssen was given her marching orders following a VAR review.
