The New York Yankees have made a move in the trade market, announcing the acquisition of infielder Amed Rosario from the Washington Nationals. One of Rosario’s most attractive qualities for the Yankees is his remarkable performance against left-handed pitchers. In his career, he has countered them with a batting line of .298/.337/.462, a trend he has maintained in 2023 with an OPS of .816 against them, in contrast to .667 against right-handers. This skill could be a valuable asset for the Yankees in specific game situations.
