Cleveland Browns new rookie QB, Shedeur Sanders, might have another team as an option if his talent is not valued in Ohio. According to Asante Samuel Sr., who is a two-time Super Bowl champion, says the Indianapolis Colts could be behind the scenes watching what is going on with Shedeur.
He spoke about this on his show, Say What Needs to Be Said. Samuel thinks the Colts might go for Sanders if he does not land a good spot in Cleveland.

“If the Browns don’t make the right decision, there’s another team waiting. And I’m telling you right now, the Indianapolis Colts are watching,” Samuel said.
Shedeur’s current situation in Cleveland
Shedeur Sanders, who was picked in the fifth round of this past 2025 NFL Draft, is stuck behind Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel on the Browns’ team list. too many people for one high demanding position, but at camp, people noted Shedeur’s sharp throws, calmness, and growing leadership. Sports radio host Mike Gleason said on Monday, “He’s not your average fifth-round pick. If he flashes even once in the preseason, teams will line up.”
What Sanders does in the next preseason games in Cleveland will likely decide his path during his firts NFL year. A good show could grant him a very good position in the team or, on the contrary, make him desired and wanted by other teams like the Colts.
For now, all eyes are on Berea, Ohio, where the Browns meditate over their QB choices, and where, as Samuel says, Shedeur might already have a secret fan tuning in.
