Anunciado como novo atacante do Grêmio no último dia 23, Carlos Vinicius não ‘fardará’ o manto gremista no confronto diante do Fluminense, marcado para o próximo sábado (2), às 21h (de Brasília), no estádio do Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro, pela 18ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. Com isso, o torcedor que gera uma grande expectativa pela sua estreia precisará ter um pouco mais de paciência.
Após a vitória por 2 a 1 sobre o Fortaleza, em Porto Alegre, o técnico Mano Menezes revelou que a ideia da comissão é utilizar o atacante na partida seguinte diante do Sport, no dia 10 de agosto, às 20h30, na Arena. Até lá, serão mais dez dias de treinamentos para o jogador de 30 anos. A previsão é a mesma para o zagueiro Fabián Balbuena.
“Entendemos que, quando contrata um jogador, cria uma expectativa. E se jogarmos o jogador sem as reais condições, pode haver uma primeira impressão ruim, que sempre atrapalha. Se pudermos ter uma boa impressão, é algo que vem para somar a curto prazo. Acreditamos muito que os dois podem ser acréscimos a curto prazo. O resultado ajuda a manter a ideia de fazer a estreia contra o Sport”, revelou Mano.

Depois de oito anos atuando no futebol europeu, Carlos Vinicius terá agora a primeira oportunidade de jogar a Série A do Campeonato Brasileiro. Na coletiva de apresentação, ele, inclusive, citou este como um dos motivos para aceitar o convite do Grêmio.
“A gente tem uma experiência do futebol europeu e andamos aí por grandes clubes e grandes ligas, mas eu nunca joguei o Campeonato Brasileiro de Série A. Então, ao mesmo tempo que eu trago essa experiência, eu também vou adquirir muito no campeonato”, declarou.
Perguntado sobre as condições físicas e a estreia, ele garantiu que rapidamente estará à disposição da comissão técnica. Todos os dias que levanto da cama, já analiso se estou pronto, porque é um desejo meu. Garanto a vocês que em um curto espaço de tempo já estarei preparado”, respondeu.
Brasileirão
A vitória sobre o Fortaleza fez o Grêmio respirar na tabela do Brasileirão. Com 20 pontos conquistados até aqui, a equipe gaúcha aparece na 14ª posição. São cinco de diferença para o Santos, time que abre a zona de rebaixamento.
