NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell called the attack an “unspeakable act of violence”, extending condolences to grieving families and emphasizing gratitued toward law enforcement, especially Office Didarul Islam, who lost his life protecting others. Goodell confirmed that one league employee remains hospitalized in stable condition following the shooting.
In line with safeguarding staff well-being, eployees based in New York were instructed to work remotely through at least August 8, while the league offices remain closed until further notice. Additionally, a virtuan town hall was organized to provide emotional support, and NFL officials announced an upgraded security presence at corporate buildings in the days ahead.

Investigators are exploring whether the shooter, Shane Tamura, acted on grievances connected to alleged brain injury linked to CTE, though he played only high school football and never joined the league.
