Zwei ungenannte Klubs aus der Saudi Pro League sind offenbar an Ferran Torres (25) vom FC Barcelona interessiert. Das berichtet das Portal „Jijantes“.
Normalerweise würden sich vermutlich weder der Spieler (vergangene Saison 45 Pflichtspiel-Einsätze für die Katalanen) noch der Klub von Trainer Hansi Flick (60) ernsthaft mit einem solchen Transfer beschäftigen. Andererseits bietet man Barça offenbar eine Ablösesumme in Höhe von 50 Millionen Euro – ein Betrag, der dem hoch verschuldeten Klub sehr helfen würde. Und: Torres soll 60 Millionen Euro netto verdienen können, verteilt auf drei Jahre.

Der Klub hat den Stürmer zwar nicht aktiv auf die Verkaufsliste gesetzt, würde sich bei einem attraktiven Angebot und Wechselwunsch des Spielers jedoch gesprächsbereit zeigen. Hansi Flick sieht in ihm zwar einen wichtigen Baustein für seine Offensivpläne, ist sich aber auch bewusst, dass der Kader aus finanziellen Gründen nicht ohne Einschnitte auskommen wird.
Der Vertrag von Torres läuft bis 2027, Eile besteht also nicht. Doch die Saudis meinen es ernst – und auch Aston Villa aus der Premier League soll Interesse zeigen. Im Umfeld des Spielers wird bestätigt, dass das Angebot aus dem Golfstaat „intensiv geprüft“ wird.
