Die Besetzung dieses Vorbereitungsturniers klingt fast wie Champions League.
Von Freitag bis Sonntag wird in Schneverdingen der traditionelle Heide-Cup ausgespielt. Die Organisatoren des Turniers haben eine illustre Teilnehmerschaft verpflichtet. Nicht nur, weil mit der TSV Hannover-Burgdorf, dem VfL Gummersbach und dem HSV Hamburg drei namhafte Klubs aus der Daikin Handball-Bundesliga mit dabei sind.

Handball-Star Juri Knorr schon wieder in Deutschland
Seit 1. Juli zählt Juri Knorr (25) nach seinem Abgang von den Rhein-Neckar Löwen zum Kader von Aalborg Handbold. Das Star-Ensemble des dänischen Top-Klubs ist am Freitag (17.45 Uhr, Livestream auf twitch.tv/sprungwurftv) Gegner der TSV Hannover-Burgdorf.
Die Niedersachsen haben die beiden letzten Testspiele verloren, jetzt erwartet Trainer Christian Prokop (46) eine klare Steigerung. Der Ex-Bundestrainer: „Nach unseren Niederlagen gegen Lemgo und Magdeburg ist dieses top-besetzte Turnier für uns eine nächste Standortbestimmung.“
[–>Prokop will nicht nur verbesserte Ergebnisse, sondern auch Entwicklungs-Fortschritte sehen. Sein Nachfolger beim Deutschen Handballbund (DHB) auf der Position des Nationaltrainers wird ebenfalls in der Halle sitzen und Erkenntnisse sammeln. Alfred Gislason (65) und Nationalmannschafts-Manager Benjamin Chatton (44) werden sich die Leistungen der anwesenden Nationalspieler genau anschauen.
Die drei weiteren Teilnehmer am Heide-Cup sind allesamt amtierende Meister. Aalborg ist Titelträger in Dänemark, die Kadetten Schaffhausen sind Meister in der Schweiz, Kolstad IL, das das Turnier am Freitag (15.30 Uhr) gegen den HSV Hamburg eröffnet, in Norwegen. Ab 20.15 Uhr trifft der VfL Gummersbach auf Schaffhausen.
Schlägt die TSV Hannover-Burgdorf die dänische Top-Truppe, ist am Samstag (12.15 Uhr) der Verlierer der Partie Hamburg gegen Kolstad der nächste Gegner. Gewinnen Knorrs Dänen, muss Hannover-Burgdorf ab 17.30 Uhr gegen den Sieger aus Gummersbach gegen Schaffhausen ran.
