Slavia porazila v lize Teplice na stadionu v Edenu podesáté v řadě a částečně odčinila domácí zaváhání z úvodního kola proti Hradci Králové (2:2). Severočeši nenavázali na výhru z posledního vzájemného duelu a po třech zápasech mají na kontě tři body. K dobru mají nedohraný zápas v Ostravě, který byl za stavu 1:0 pro Baník v 25. minutě předčasně ukončen.
Trenér Slavie Trpišovský dnes ustoupil od svého oblíbeného systému se třemi stopery a vsadil na čtyřčlennou obrannou řadu. Na hrotu útoku nastoupil Chytil, který nahradil distancovaného Chorého. Český reprezentant dostal za udeření brankáře Heči v minulém kole na Slovácku trest na šest zápasů.
Domácí začali náporem, byť první šanci měli po nenápadné akci. Nákop brankáře Staňka si za obranou našel Kušej, sám před Trmalem ale minul. V 10. minutě Zima po Bořilově dlouhém autovém vhazování protečoval míč do tyče.
Hosté se po úvodní čtvrthodině osmělili a ve zbytku první půle byli favoritovi vyrovnaným soupeřem. Vydařenou pasáž „Sklářů“ mohl korunovat v 24. minutě z brejku Kozák, z ideální pozice těsně minul.
Do vedení tak šli v 31. minutě Pražané. Trmalovu rozehrávku na Jukla vystihl Zafeiris, vypíchl míč pro Kušeje a ten tváří v tvář teplickému gólmanovi předložil míč před prázdnou bránu zakončujícímu Provodovi. Osmadvacetiletý záložník se stal prvním slávistou se dvěma góly v novém ligovém ročníku.

Provod mohl zvýšit hned po změně stran poté, co se prohnal napravo kolem Večerky, jeho ránu z úhlu Trmal skvělým reflexem vyrazil. Totéž se teplickému gólmanovi už nepodařilo v 52. minutě, kdy ho Zafeiris tentokrát zleva nachytal střelou mezi nohy. Rovněž řecký reprezentant skóroval podruhé v sezoně.
O tři minuty později Provod ve vápně prostrčil míč na Bořila, jenž se elegantně otočil a zakončil k tyči. Kapitán mužstva oslavil ligovou trefu poprvé od zářijového duelu s Plzní. Teplicím se hra sesypala a v 66. minutě pro ně bylo ještě hůř. Večerka skluzem dohrál Provoda a od sudího Starého viděl červenou kartu.
Ve zbytku zápasu už se hosté soustředili hlavně na to, aby neodjeli z Edenu s debaklem. V 77. minutě trefil Holeš po rohu břevno a Chytil nezvládl dorážku do odkryté sítě. Trmala nepřekonal ani Schranz při samostatném nájezdu. Slavia doma vyhrála 22 z posledních 23 ligových utkání.
