When the New York Giants traded back into the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft to select Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart, the decision was met with a fair amount of skepticism.
Many doubted whether Dart could truly live up to the expectations of being the franchise quarterback, particularly after the team’s struggles at the position in recent years.

However, Dart’s impressive preseason debut against the Buffalo Bills has quickly changed the narrative, with fans already considering him a significant upgrade over former Giants quarterback, Daniel Jones.

The Giants’ quarterback situation has been a point of frustration for years, particularly since drafting Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Though Jones showed flashes of talent, his tenure was marked by frequent turnovers, inconsistent play, and an inability to consistently move the offense.
