Simone Biles, fresh off her historic performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, is taking a step back from gymnastics in 2025, but she isn’t stepping away from the spotlight.

After helping lead Team USA to gold, the seven-time Olympic medalist has been enjoying a well-earned break, traveling through the British Virgin Islands and spending quality time with her family. Yet even during this downtime, her role as a supportive wife to NFL star Jonathan Owens remains front and center.

Chicago Bears receiver floats after making a big catch for a touchdown against Miami

On August 5, Biles made a quick stop in Chicago after a girls’ trip, just in time for the Bears’ annual Family Fest at Soldier Field. From her social media posts, she seemed thrilled to be back in the Windy City, snapping photos of the skyline, her new apartment near the stadium, and of course, the field where Owens was preparing for the season.

She later returned to Texas for a family visit, but it wasn’t long before she was back in Chicago cheering on her husband again.

On Instagram, she posted a story showing Owens walking toward her with the caption, “Fresh,” followed by a wide shot of Soldier Field during the Bears’ preseason opener against the Dolphins, which ended in a tie. Her final post from the day made it official: the WAG season had begun.

WAG season in full swing

In sports circles, “WAGs” refers to the wives and girlfriends of athletes, known for their glamor and public presence during the season. And now, Simone Biles is embracing that role with style and grace.

Last season, she drew attention by wearing a custom jacket featuring Owens in his former Green Bay Packers gear, stirring a playful rivalry with Chicago Bears fans. More recently, she was spotted at Soldier Field in an outfit printed with Owens’ face, drawing admiration across social media.

While Biles and Owens continue to split their time between Texas and Chicago, the couple is thriving in this new chapter. With Owens entering another NFL season and Biles taking time off from gymnastics, they’re proving that their partnership is just as strong off the field as it is in their respective arenas.

From Olympic podiums to NFL sidelines, Biles is showing that support, love, and style never go out of season.
