Jorge Iggor está de casa nova. Conforme informações inicialmente divulgadas pelo jornalista Gabriel Vaquer na “Folha de São Paulo” na manhã de hoje (13), o locutor esportivo deixa a Warner Bros Discovery, onde estava desde 2007, para ser o novo reforço do Grupo Globo.
O jornalista integrou o extinto Esporte Interativo e atualmente era o segundo nome da TNT Sports, ficando atrás apenas de André Henning. Segundo Vaquer, Jorge Iggor será o narrador número 1 do novo projeto esportivo da Vênus Platinada: o canal “GE TV”, que será lançado no YouTube para competir com a Cazé TV.
Novo canal da Globo não terá nomes da TV aberta e fechada
O veículo não deverá aproveitar nenhum profissional da Globo na televisão aberta e também no SporTV. O “GE TV” planeja exibir eventos com exclusividade na plataforma de vídeos e atualmente negocia com a NFL, a principal liga de futebol americano.
O colunista complementou que Jorge Iggor surpreendeu os colegas da TNT ao comunicar a decisão de sua saída ontem (12). A emissora de TV fechada confirmou sua saída em nota oficial. De acordo com Gabriel Vaquer, a Globo vinha negociando com o comunicador, que é identificado com o Santos, desde o início de agosto.

Os internautas repercutiram a contratação de Jorge Iggor pela Globo. De um modo geral, os torcedores elogiaram a aquisição do profissional. Ao mesmo tempo, lamentaram que a cobertura da Uefa Champions League nos canais Warner estará desfalcada.
