Depois de semanas de negociações entre Grêmio e Al-Rayyan, do Catar, pela contratação do atacante Roger Guedes, as tratativas finalmente chegaram ao fim. Porém, não da maneira na qual os gremistas sonhavam. As partes não chegaram a um acordo e o clube desistiu de contratar o jogador.
Marcelo Marques confirma desistência do negócio
Mesmo ainda não tendo nenhum cargo no Grêmio, o empresário Marcelo Marques, nome mais cotado para assumir a presidência do clube a partir do próximo ano, é quem estava conduzindo as negociações e seria o investidor da compra, caso o negócio fosse concretizado.
“Infelizmente não houve uma evolução da negociação junto ao Al-Rayyan, que não demonstra interesse em se desfazer do jogador no momento. E eu entendo que o Grêmio não pode aguardar mais para realizar os investimentos na equipe.”, confirmou Marques, em nota. Segundo o empresário, ele disponibilizou 10 milhões de euros (R$ 63,2 milhões) para a compra.
Torcedores temem o rebaixamento
As especulações de que Roger Guedes viria para o Grêmio animaram os torcedores com a esperança de dias melhores. Vivendo uma fase ruim dentro de campo, o Tricolor tem apenas quatro pontos acima da zona de rebaixamento do Brasileirão e um ataque com 16 gols marcados em 18 jogos. “Se a gente não cair esse ano vai ser muita sorte”, escreveu nas redes sociais um torcedor que gostaria da chegada do atacante de 28 anos.
As negociações com o Al-Rayyan para contratar Roger Guedes tomaram conta dos noticiários do Grêmio recentemente, era o que o torcedor mais gostaria de saber. Contratações para outras posições acabaram não sendo a prioridade do clube, e outros gremistas demonstraram preocupação quanto a isso, pois isso pode ser um fator determinante nesta briga contra o rebaixamento.
Dinheiro seguirá à disposição da diretoria
Na mesma nota em que confirmou a desistência de contratar Roger Guedes, Marcelo Marques informou que o dinheiro que seria investido no jogador continuará disponível para que a diretoria do Grêmio decida onde investir e qual ou quais jogadores contratar ainda nesta janela. “Já informei aos dirigentes do futebol que mantenho minha disposição em apoiar o clube com estes recursos, fazendo o investimento em outros atletas que eles entendam que possam ajudar neste momento”, garantiu.
Essa informação preocupou alguns torcedores do Grêmio, que não confiam na direção atual, comandada pelo presidente Alberto Guerra. Segundo os comentários, há grandes chances de que esses 10 milhões de euros sejam mal aproveitados com jogadores que não resolvem os problemas do time.
