Die Ski-Königin mal als Fan unterwegs!
Mikaela Shiffrin (30) steckt aktuell in der eigenen Vorbereitung auf die neue Wintersport-Saison, doch das hindert die Amerikanerin nicht daran, ihren Bruder in Colorado zu unterstützen – und zeigt sich dabei von seinen sportlichen Leistungen schwer beeindruckt.
Denn: Wie Shiffrin auf Instagram verriet, nahm ihr Bruder Taylor (32) am legendären „Leadville 100“ teil. Dies ist eins der härtesten Mountainbike-Rennen der Welt und führt über 100 Meilen (ca. 161 km) auf circa 3.000 Meter Höhe durch die dünne Luft Colorados. Für ihn kein Problem, Mikaela zeigt sich in ihrem Post „geschockt, verwirrt und sprachlos“ darüber, was ihr Bruder da geleistet hat.
Taylor Shiffrin war dabei nicht allein unterwegs. Gemeinsam mit dem ehemaligen Radprofi Cristhian Ravelo absolvierte er das spektakuläre Event. Die Schwester ist einfach nur stolz: „Es gibt viele Gründe, warum ich zu meinem großen Bruder aufblicke, aber das ist die Kirsche auf der Torte.“
Dabei verrückt: Eigentlich ist das ältere Geschwisterkind Datenanalyst, hat wenig Zeit neben seinem Job. Da blieben für das Mountainbike-Rennen nur sechs Wochen Vorbereitungszeit. Doch das reichte aus.
Die Ski-Queen Shiffrin reiste sogar persönlich nach Colorado an, um ihren Bruder zu unterstützen – inklusive einiger Fotos von der Strecke. Immer wieder zeigen die beiden ihre familiäre Nähe. Taylor ist ebenfalls manchmal bei Rennen von Mikaela dabei. Wahre Geschwisterliebe eben. Dazu schrieb sie: „Ernsthaft Taylor … du bist einfach der Coolste. Du hast mich wirklich inspiriert.“
[–>Inspiration, die sie eigentlich gar nicht braucht. Mit 2 Olympiasiegen, 8 Weltmeistertiteln, dem Rekord von 101 Weltcupsiegen und insgesamt 11 Kristallkugeln hat Shiffrin im Wintersport alles erreicht. Doch noch ist der Hunger nicht erloschen. Nächstes Ziel: Olympia 2026 in Mailand und Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Doch zuvor muss Shiffrin noch die letzten Monate der Vorbereitung absolvieren. Die neue Ski-Saison beginnt Ende Oktober in Sölden. Dort wird der Winter mit einem Riesenslalom eröffnet – gibt es dort den 102. Sieg?

Solheim Cup and Ladies European Tour to remain on Sky Sports until 2030
The next three Solheim Cups will be exclusively live on Sky Sports and NOW as part of a five-year extension to their long-standing partnership with the Ladies European Tour (LET).The new agreement takes the partnership into a landmark 30th year, where Sky Sports will continue to be the exclusive broadcaster of all live coverage and extended highlights from the LET and Solheim Cup until at least the end of the 2030 season.
