Nachdem es erst so ausgesehen hatte, als ob Rodrygo in Madrid bliebe, könnte sich nun alles ganz schnell ändern. Laut Transfer-Guru Fabrizio Romano ist Manchester City heiß auf Rodrygo und zieht einen Transfer in Betracht. Die „Cityzens“ sehen ihn demnach als Traum-Transfer und Guardiola gilt als großer Fan.
Der geforderte Preis liegt bei circa 100 Millionen Euro. Trotz wochenlanger Rodrygo-Gerüchte um Arsenal, Liverpool und FC Bayern hatte bislang aber kein einziger Top-Klub eine konkrete Offerte abgegeben. Der Betrag schreckte offenbar den Markt ab. City aber nicht?

Die Engländer haben kürzlich Jack Grealish (29) von ihrer Gehaltsliste gestrichen. Der 117-Millionen-Euro-Star wechselt per Leihe zum FC Everton, wobei die „Toffees“ einen Großteil seines hohen Gehalts von fast 350.000 Euro pro Woche übernehmen.
Außerdem steht James McAtee (22) kurz vor einem Transfer zu Nottingham Forest, bei dem ein Deal im Wert von rund 23 Millionen Euro im Raum steht. Und auch Mittelfeldspieler Savinho soll nach nur einem Jahr wieder abgegeben werden. City ist bereit, ihn für 50 Millionen Euro ziehen zu lassen.
Viel Geld, das reinkommt – und direkt wieder investiert wird? Die große Frage ist, ob Rodrygo Real verlassen will. Der Brasilianer hat noch einen Vertrag bis 2028, läuft seit 2019 im weißen Dress auf. Ausgebildet wurde er beim FC Santos. Mit den Königlichen hat er zweimal die Champions League gewonnen (2022, 2024) und wurde dreimal spanischer Meister (2020, 2022, 2024).
