O Palmeiras segue ativo no mercado da bola e deve apresentar Jefté, que já chegou a São Paulo e está na Academia de Futebol do Verdão para os exames médicos e ser anunciado como novo reforço.
O lateral-esquerdo tem 21 anos, foi eleito o melhor da posição no Campeonato Escocês de 2024/25, onde jogava pelo Rangers FC. O jogador chega ao Verdão para disputar a posição com Piquerez.
A torcida do Palmeiras lembrou que Matias Viña, ex-Palmeiras, ainda não completou sete jogos no Brasileirão pelo Flamengo e poderia ser contratado pelo Verdão. Vale dizer ainda, que o lateral-esquerdo do Rubro-Negro não autuou na Libertadores de 2025, e assim poderia ser utilizado pelo Palmeiras na competição sul-americana.
Porém, para os torcedores do Palmeiras, Matias Viña seria um reserva de luxo, com um salário alto e sempre na lembrança que o uruguaio havia dito que se voltasse ao Brasil seria para o Verdão, não cumprindo com sua palavra e ainda aceitar a proposta do rival carioca.
Outro ponto levantado pelos torcedores é que Viña não está em boas condições físicas e o comparam a De la Cruz, que não vem atuando pelo Flamengo por conta de contusão.

Além de Jefté, o Palmeiras contratou o lateral-direito Khellven, o atacante Ramón Sosa, e nessa semana também teve a chegada do goleiro Carlos Miguel, ainda não anunciado.
Sobre Jefté, ele foi da base do Fluminense, mas não chegou a estrear como profissional no clube, indo jogar primeiramente no Chipre, em julho de 2023, quando tinha 19 anos. Na sequência foi negociado com o Rangers, da Escócia, onde estava na temporada de 2024/25, e lá fez 52 partidas, um gol e quatro assistências neste período.
Ainda, a diretoria do Verdão quer suprir a saída de Richard Ríos, negociado com o Benfica de Portugal e assim busca um segundo volante, com especulação de Nelson Deossa e Marcel Ruiz, mas nada concretizado.
Por fim, o Palmeiras pretende contratar um meia ofensivo, e o nome de Julio Enciso, do Brighton, da Inglaterra, já foi cogitado, mas as conversas não evoluíram.
