With just over a minute left, no timeouts, and the ball at their own 13, backup quarterback Tyson Bagent led a flawless 87-yard drive. Undrafted rookie Jahdae Walker caught three passes, including the six-yard touchdown that decided the game with three seconds remaining.
After securing the win, the wide receiver broke out his trademark air walk celebration, a move he’s carried from his college days at Texas A&M. The playful jab toward the Chiefs capped a night where he not only scored, but made sure Kansas City remembered his name.
Bears end the preseason on a good note
The Chicago Bears finished the 2025 preseason on a good note, beating the Kansas City Chiefs and ending with a 2-0-1 record, routing the AFC powerhouse Buffalo Bills 38-0, something that inspires the franchise to translate that win into a good regular season record.
The Chicago quarterbacks put on a show against the Chiefs, with a combined passer rating of 124.7 between starter Caleb Williams (116.8) and Tyson Bagent (128.9), who teamed up to complete 31 of 43 passes for 325 yards and four touchdowns.
Another highlight of the game was the fact that 15 Bears players who caught at least one pass. Tight end Joel Wilson and receiver Maurice Alexander shared the team lead with four receptions, while receivers Rome Odunze, Tyler Scott, Olamide Zaccheaus and Jahdae Walker had three apiece. Odunze topped Bears receivers with 45 yards. Alexander also returned a kickoff 33 yards.
