There’s no doubt that Shedeur Sanders is living a nightmare with the Cleveland Browns. In the last preseason game against the Rams, Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel had the chance to play with the first and second teams and ended up looking good, but it was the complete opposite for Deion Sanders’ son.

Sanders was sent into battle without weapons-he was put in to play with the third and fourth units in the second half, and it turned into a true disaster. He barely completed 3 of 6 passes for 14 yards and was sacked five times-nothing like his debut a couple of weeks ago.
In that earlier game against the Carolina Panthers, Shedeur Sanders was the true MVP, throwing two touchdown passes and putting on a real show. However, not even that was enough for the Head Coach to give him opportunities with the first and second teams. On top of that, an injury got in the way. Chances have been scarce, and he may need to look for them elsewhere.
Las Vegas Raiders could become a real option
One of the teams linked to Shedeur Sanders before the NFL Draft was the Las Vegas Raiders. However, they ultimately decided not to select him. Now, though, there may be room for the quarterback if he gets cut by the Cleveland Browns.
Raiders’ backup quarterback, Aidan O’Connell, suffered a fracture in his right wrist during the last preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals. Reports say this injury will keep him sidelined for 6 to 8 weeks, according to Head Coach Pete Carroll. That means they’ll need another quarterback.
The Raiders currently have Geno Smith and rookie Cam Miller, who was picked in the sixth round of the last Draft. Pressure on social media to bring in Shedeur Sanders has already begun, with fans asking Tom Brady to make a trade for the Browns’ quarterback.
The Shedeur Sanders saga still has many chapters left. However, with Tuesday being the deadline to finalize the roster, if Sanders is cut, the Raiders would be strong candidates to pursue the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback-or perhaps even earlier through a trade.
