Luca Marini fue uno de los triunfadores del Gran Premio de Hungría de MotoGP. El de Tavullia logró un cuarto lugar en el Sprint y un quinto en la carrera larga del domingo, en lo que son sus mejores resultados de la temporada, con el Honda Castrol.
A ello se suma que tiene cerrada su renovación con la escuadra oficial de HRC y que se constató que su recuperación del fuerte accidente en preparación de las 8 Horas de Suzuka es total.
El italiano admitió que se divirtió mucho en Balaton Park y hasta pudo hacer alguna pasada, aunque no es lo más sencillo en ese trazado. “En la carrera hubo más adelantamientos, pero sigue siendo un circuito en el que es muy difícil adelantar. Hubo más porque Marc (Márquez) iba detrás. Si hubiera ido primero, nadie le habría adelantado y el número total habría cambiado”, reflexionaba.
Progresos de Honda
El transalpino plasmó la progresión de Honda, que ya se mostró con el sexto puesto de Joan Mir en Austria. El nuevo chasis ayudó. Con todo, Marini es cauto. “Está todo por reevaluar en Barcelona. Tenemos que agachar la cabeza y trabajar, todavía hay mucho que arreglar. En cualquier caso, es parte del proceso. Estamos dando grandes pasos, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta de dónde veníamos. Hemos hecho muchos cambios desde que volví y eso nos ha permitido tener una velocidad decente en algunos circuitos, sobre todo donde hay agarre. Montmeló será una incógnita porque es una pista donde hay poco agarre y el motor cuenta mucho y, ahora mismo, esos son nuestros dos puntos débiles“, expuso.

Esperando al test de Misano
En el ‘paddock’ se comenta que Honda podrá en pista, en el test de Misano, el posterior al gran premio, una moto con cambios grandes. Luca lo confirmaba: “Sí, habrá cambios importantes“, aunque le preocupaba más mantener la buena inercia en Barcelona.
Seguridad en sí mismo
El hermano de Valentino Rossi estaba emocionado por su buen papel y creía que es la confirmación, a nivel personal, de muchos aspectos. “Ya sabía desde principios de año, o mejor dicho desde el año pasado, que estos resultados se podrían haber conseguido fácilmente. Conozco muy bien mi potencial; simplemente, tuvimos que cambiar muchas cosas en la moto y en el método de trabajo. Ahora, la moto nos permite hacer lo que necesitamos hacer para ir rápido. Es el momento de apretar y traer resultados a casa, hemos cogido la dirección correcta”, lanzaba.
Reivindicativo
Marini, además, fue muy contundente cuando le preguntaron si Honda necesitaba un piloto para ganar carreras. “Creo que Honda tiene que montar la mejor moto en la parrilla y, luego, ayudar al piloto más fuerte que tengan a ganar. Doy las gracias a los que aprecian mi trabajo, pero les digo que yo también puedo ganar. En cualquier caso, me llevo muy bien con Joan (Mir) y creo que estamos haciendo un gran trabajo en el equipo oficial”, concluyó.
