The inevitable has happened: the relationship between Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys has completely collapsed. After the star linebacker publicly requested a trade on social media, the man with 52.5 sacks in four NFL seasons will now join the Green Bay Packers in exchange for two first-round draft picks.

Parsons had aimed to strike a deal with the Cowboys to become the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. While he didn’t achieve that in Dallas, he did in Green Bay, where he will earn an average of $47 million per year – surpassing T.J. Watt’s $41 million annual deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
With this move, the Cowboys have sent a clear message: they are looking ahead to 2026. Meanwhile, the Packers, led by Jordan Love, instantly become strong contenders in the NFC to reach the Super Bowl.
Dez Bryant Believes Arch Manning Will Join the Cowboys
The news of Parsons’ trade sparked an explosion on social media, particularly with criticism directed at the Cowboys. By letting go of their biggest star, Dallas has essentially wiped away their already slim playoff hopes – unless a miracle happens.
Among the voices was former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant, who stated on social media that after all this turmoil, the franchise must go all-in on Arch Manning, the University of Texas quarterback.
And the idea doesn’t sound far-fetched. Dak Prescott has given Dallas all he could, and perhaps we’ve already seen his ceiling. The team now seems to be shifting focus toward the future. If Arch Manning declares for the NFL Draft, the Cowboys – armed with the additional picks acquired in the Parsons trade – could be positioning themselves to pursue the Texas Longhorns quarterback.
