The game between Indiana Fever and Golden State Valkyries was not the best for Stephanie White’s team, but one of her players got all the attention.
Despite the 75-63 loss at the Chase Center, Lexie Hull looked noticeably different, but she had a great performance and established herself as a key player for the team.

After her painful collision to the head in Indiana’s 95-75 win over the Seattle Storm on Aug. 25, Lexie ended up with black eyes from the impact with Gabby Williams.
Despite this, she didn’t back down a step, returning to the court to continue defending Indiana’s colors for the two games following her accident and putting speculation of her possible absence due to a facial injury behind her.
Against the Valkyries, the 6-foot-6 point guard registered eight points, six rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers in 33 minutes of action. And although it was not enough to beat her rivals, she more than proved her courage and strength.
Even on her official Instagram account, Lexie broke with the trend of sharing only good moments and best profiles, and showed herself without filters, proudly showing off her battle scars. “took the song a little too literally” she wrote next to twelve photographs.
This did not go unnoticed by her team, who quickly showed their support. “caption 10/10” the Fever posted, praising Hull for her song choice of “Get’cha Head in the Game.”
The “Tres Leches” trio also made their presence known. Caitlin Clark, absent with a groin injury and no return date. “Go Lex” she wrote next to a heart emoji. Throwing humor on the situation and true to her style, Sophie Cunningham -who is out for the rest of the season- wrote: “way to use your noggin’ Lex“.
Chloe Bibby also joined in and commented, “Sexy Lexie back at it againnnn,” while Aerial Powers said, “Get it Lexieeeeeee.” “Sexy lex” added Makayla Timpson.
Even Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers star, also left his comment for Lexie: “great song choice,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Hull and Fever are preparing to play their final four games. On Tuesday, September 2, they will travel to PHX Arena and face Phoenix Mercury, then on Friday, September 5, they will host Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Then on Sunday the 7th they will take on the Washington Mystics at CFG Bank Arena Baltimore, and finally on Tuesday the 9th they will face the Minnesota Lynx at home.
Lexie’s injury will heal with time, but her courage and the support of her teammates will last forever.
