Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and their Kansas City Chiefs teammates are already in the country of Brazil for the first game of the 2025-26 NFL season against the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, Sept. 5.
However, given the limited opportunities for Latinos to see the two stars live, and the prominence gained by the tight end after announcing his engagement to Taylor Swift, a crowd of fans greeted them at the São Paulo airport.

In a viral video shared by @nflbrasil, the TE can be seen walking down a fenced aisle guarded by security personnel, while shaking hands and smilingly waving to his fans.
Even in X’s post, fans also left messages of support for the Kansas City star: “He’s loved by everyone” wrote one of them. “Omg look it’s Mrs. Swift” added another user, “all so happy to see him” highlighted another follower.
True to his style, Kelce arrived in Brazil wearing a comfortable and elegant oufit. He paired a beige collared sweater with black shorts, and finished it off with a “T&K” cap from his recently launched American Eagle collection, also in beige. In addition, he brought along his cross-body duffel bag and suitcase.
Once there, Travis got down to business. He worked out with the Chiefs and interacted with the press, where a funny moment stole the show. One of the reporters asked Kelce to elaborate on ‘how his life has changed,’ to which Patrick stepped forward and replied “He’s engaged,” eliciting laughter from all present.
The 35-year-old TE then gave a slightly longer answer than Mahomes: “There we go. Exactly. I got one more ring from it,” he joked, “Well, two if we’re counting the first Super Bowl,” he clarified.
He also revealed that since he and the artist began their courtship “life has been fun and exciting”: “Obviously a lot more eyes and I accept that, but I’m living life. Living on a high, I guess.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26 with a touch of humor and obvious infatuation. Sharing 5 photos of the magical moment on Instagram, they added, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
However, the couple has not announced an official wedding date.
