Der verletzte Füchse-Spielmacher Nils Lichtlein (23) ist plötzlich zurück auf dem Parkett, macht sich mit dem Ball warm, wie alle anderen Spieler auch. Gibt es gegen Wetzlar das Comeback nach seinen Schulterproblemen?

Lichtlein zu BILD: „Nach einer Einheit auf dem Rad-Ergometer in der Halle habe ich bei der Erwärmung die Schulter nur angetestet.“

Kein Fake, aber eine böse Überraschung gibt es für Füchse-Trainer Nicolej Krickau (38) nach dem Aufwärmprogramm. Bitter, Kreisläufer Mijajlo Marsenic (32) verletzt sich am Rücken, das strahlt in den Oberschenkel aus, er verbringt das gesamte Pokalspiel mit dickem Verband auf der Bank. Krickau: „Ich hoffe, das ist bis Sonnabend wieder behoben.“
Handball: Füchse mit Fake-Spieler eine Runde weiter
Auch nicht dabei ist Füchse-Boss Bob Hanning (57). Der Geschäftsführer der Berliner weilt in Italien und trainiert in Chieti als italienischer Nationaltrainer vor der Nationalteam-Pause schon mit einem Teil seiner Spieler, testet dazu den Nachwuchs der Azzurri.
Die Füchse gehen also mit nur 12 Spielern in das Pokal-Duell. Kapitän Max Darj (33) ist der einzige verbliebene Kreisläufer bei den Berlinern. Muss 60 Minuten durchackern. Denn Lukas Herburger (31/Rückenprobleme) fehlt schon seit Wochen. Juckt die Füchse nicht, auch in Mini-Besetzung haben sie seit der ersten Spielminute an Wetzlar im Griff. In die Pause geht es mit 19:15. Den Vorsprung bauen die Berliner in der 50. Minute auf sieben Treffer aus – 32:25.
