Die Saison hatte gerade erst begonnen, da war sie für Robin Amaize (31) auch schon wieder zu Ende. Jetzt wurde er in Bayern operiert.
Am vergangenen Sonntag hatte er sich in der 18. Minute beim Auftaktspiel in Trier (78:88) schwer an der Achillessehne verletzt. Das ergab die Untersuchung im Rostocker Klinikum Südstadt am Montag.
Für die notwendige Operation hat sich Amaize jetzt in die allerbesten Hände begeben. In die Unfallklinik Murnau. Der leitende Arzt dort ist Dr. Johannes Gabel. Sein Spezialgebiet: Fuß- und Sprunggelenkchirurgie.

Gabel ist der Arzt, dem die Stars vertrauen, vor allem die Bayern-Stars: Hier wurde Ex-Nationalkeeper Manuel Neuer nach seinem Ski-Unfall im Dezember 2022 erfolgreich am Schien- und Wadenbein operiert. Zuletzt war Jamal Musiala nach seinem Wadenbeinbruch bei der Klub-WM im Juli 2025 in Murnau operiert worden.

Ein äußerst bitteres Jahr für den Flügelspieler. Im Februar hatte er sich die Handwurzel gebrochen, war erst Ende Mai ins Team zurückgekehrt. Jetzt der Riss an der Achillessehne.

Nach Dominic Lockhardt, der sich im April ebenfalls and der Achillessehne verletzt hat, ist Amaize bereits der zweite deutsche Spieler, der langfristig ausfällt. Zwar hat der Klub insgesamt fünf Doppel-Lizenzler im Kader. Trotzdem will Rostock nochmal auf dem Transfermarkt aktiv werden. Allerdings wird man einen Spieler mit der Qualität von Robin Amaize kaum ersetzen können.
Entsprechend geht das Team von Trainer Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz am Samstag (18.30 Uhr/live auf Dyn/Anzeige) als krasser Außenseiter ins Spiel bei Vize-Meister Ratiopharm Ulm.
