O técnico Davide Ancelotti terá que quebrar a cabeça mais uma vez para montar o time titular do Botafogo para a próxima partida, contra o Internacional, neste sábado, às 18h30, no Beira Rio. Isto é porque, além de oito jogadores que já não estiveram à disposição contra o Internacional (Neto, Bastos, Marçal, Alex Telles, Danilo, Jordan Barrera, Montoro e Nathan Fernandes), o comandante ainda perdeu o zagueiro titular Kaio Pantaleão, com lesão no joelho esquerdo, e o lateral-esquerdo Cuiabano, suspenso pelo terceiro cartão amarelo.

Sem as três opções da lateral esquerda, Davide deve voltar a improvisar o zagueiro David Ricardo na posição. O defensor, que já havia feito essa função nos tempos de Ceará, chegou a ser utilizado nela na segunda etapa da vitória (2 a 1) da última quarta-feira contra o Bahia, quando entrou justamente no lugar de Cuiabano. Além disso, na zaga, Gabriel Bahia deve ser o utilizado na vaga que era de Pantaleão. Recém-contratado do Volta Redonda, o defensor de 26 anos foi elogiado pelo técnico italiano.

— Parabéns ao Gabriel, porque não era fácil começar o primeiro jogo na primeira divisão no Maracanã, diante do Fluminense, e fez um bom trabalho. Hoje (quarta) também. Contamos com ele — falou Davide.

Por outro lado, outra possibilidade é a utilização do lateral-direito Mateo Ponte pelo lado esquerdo, o que faria com que David Ricardo atuasse ao lado de Alexander Barboza na dupla de zaga. O problema é que, com dois cartões amarelos, Ponte ficaria suspenso para a partida contra o Flamengo, no dia 15 de outubro, caso levasse mais um. E a tendência é que o jovem uruguaio de 22 anos seja a única opção de sua posição, já que Vitinho estará com a seleção brasileira para os amistosos contra Coreia do Sul e Japão, nos próximos dias 10 e 14, respectivamente.

Dessa forma, mesmo que não seja utilizado por Carlo Ancelotti, o defensor alvinegro não deve ter condições de jogo após uma longa viagem de Tóquio até o Rio de Janeiro.

Entre as expectativas de retorno em curto espaço de tempo, os principais nomes são Joaquín Correa e Alex Telles. Com lesão muscular sofrida antes do empate contra o Grêmio, há três rodadas, o meia argentino voltou a treinar com bola no CT Lonier e foi relacionado para o duelo contra o Internacional. Já Telles, com dores crônicas no joelho, tem chances de retornar no clássico contra o Flamengo.
