Manchester City bleibt im Titelrennen!

Nach dem knappen 1:0-Sieg gegen Brentford stehen die „Citizens“ aktuell auf Platz 5 der Premier League – nur zwei Punkte hinter Liverpool und drei hinter Spitzenreiter Arsenal.

Den Unterschied machte einmal mehr Erling Haaland. Bereits in der neunten Minute netzte er nach deinem cleveren und körperbetonten Solo ein, sicherte so den Auswärtssieg.

Auf die Frage nach dem Zustandekommen des Tores sagte der Norweger im TV-Interview: „Das war ein großartiger Ball. Wir wussten, dass sie genau so spielen würden. Ich liebe dieses Tor, weil ich es einfach geschafft habe, an ihm vorbeizukommen, und dann hab ich einfach geschossen. Ich habe gar nicht viel nachgedacht. Einfach draufgehauen.“

Im Interview sprach der Top-Stürmer von Manchester City auch darüber, in welchen Situationen er sich am wohlsten fühlt, wo auf dem Feld er am liebsten auftaucht, um in eine Schussposition zu kommen – und verriet Details, die er eigentlich gar nicht öffentlich machen wollte.

„Ich denke, das hängt immer etwas von der Situation ab“, sagte Haaland. „Natürlich auch vom Torwart. Manche Torhüter, zum Beispiel die deutschen, bleiben eher stehen. Andere wie der Tottenham-Keeper gehen früh runter. Da musst du dich anpassen. Aber – ich sollte das eigentlich nicht vor der Kamera sagen – ich mag Tore am kurzen Pfosten. Ich liebe diese Art Tore. Und Lupfer mag ich auch.“

Mit seinem Treffer hält Haaland City weiter auf Kurs – und die Fans träumen nach einer unterdurchschnittlichen letzten Saison wieder von einem Titel.
