Nico Schlotterbeck ist in Dortmund längst Führungsspieler, Publikumsliebling und einer der Leistungsträger im Team von Niko Kovac. Doch während Borussia Dortmund sportlich ordentlich gestartet ist (vier Siege, zwei Remis in der Bundesliga, vier Punkte in der Champions League), läuft im Hintergrund eine der wichtigsten Personalfragen des Vereins:
Bleibt Schlotterbeck langfristig beim BVB?

Nach SPORT BILD-Informationen liegt dem Innenverteidiger bereits ein konkretes Vertragsangebot vor. Der Klub will frühzeitig Fakten schaffen und bietet einen neuen Kontrakt bis 2030. Schlotterbecks Gehalt soll dabei um rund 2,5 Millionen Euro steigen – auf mindestens acht Millionen Euro jährlich.
Das Besondere: Wie bei vielen Topspielern in Dortmund ist auch dieser Vertrag stark leistungsbezogen. Punkt- und Einsatzprämien können das Gehalt deutlich erhöhen, bis zu einer Million Euro zusätzlich pro Saison sind möglich. Aber reicht das?

Schlotterbeck ist nicht in Eile
Die BVB-Bosse hoffen auf eine baldige Zusage, doch Schlotterbeck bleibt gelassen. Nach seiner überstandenen Knieverletzung (Meniskusriss) will er sich keinen Druck machen. Eine Frist zur Entscheidung gibt es nicht – die Verantwortlichen wissen, dass Druck in dieser Situation der falsche Weg wäre.
„Natürlich ist die Wertschätzung beiderseits groß. Aber ich glaube, um ehrlich zu sein, so früh wird es nicht sein, dass ich meinen Vertrag verlängere!“, sagte Schlotterbeck zuletzt selbst.
Schlotterbeck: Bayern war schon einmal dran
Dass der Innenverteidiger begehrt ist, weiß man in Dortmund nur zu gut. Schon 2022 versuchte der FC Bayern München, ihn kurz vor seinem Wechsel aus Freiburg abzuwerben – vergeblich. Jetzt wird erneut über Interesse aus München spekuliert.
Auch deshalb ist für Sportdirektor Sebastian Kehl (45) klar: Die Personalie Schlotterbeck hat Priorität. Der BVB will ihn langfristig binden und als künftigen Kapitän und Gesicht des Teams aufbauen.
