The last twelve songs Taylor Swift released on her album The Life of a Showgirl have been the talk of the town, but they’ve also won the hearts of fans.
When it comes to choosing a favorite song, it’s probably difficult to pick just one, but Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, has no doubts.
Taylor Swift finally breaks silence on Super Bowl rumors and her reason involves Travis Kelce
Ky’s favorite song
In a new episode of the “New Heights” podcast hosted by Travis Kelce alongside his older brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center, Jason revealed that he listened to TayTay’s new album from start to finish, something he doesn’t often do.
He also let fans know that one of his favorite songs is “Opalite” and “Eldest Daughter.” However, he also revealed that the song that stood out to his wife and mother of his four daughters was “Wi$h Li$t“:
“Kylie listened to that first, she’s the one who kinda told me to go back and listen to that one,” Jason said. “I listened to it while reading the lyrics ’cause sometimes I need to do that. But I think the sentiment behind that song is fantastic.”
This song expresses how other people want different things in their lives, such as yachts, Balenciaga sunglasses, or even “a contract with Real Madrid,” but she just wants her partner and “a couple kids, got the whole block looking like you.”
This resonated with Ky, according to Jason: “She’s not a materialistic person, she’s never been,” he said, congratulating his sister-in-law for creating songs based on “real” experiences and relationships in her lyrics.
Meanwhile, last week, Swift revealed to Jordan North and Sian Welby during her interview with Capital FM Breakfast that “Opalite” is also her boyfriend’s favorite: “I think that’s his favorite. He loves that one,” the singer said with a smile. She also said that it is inspired by Kelce’s birthstone and symbolically explores the concept of man-made happiness.
However, like Ky, as they progressed through the conversation and the songs on the album, Jordan North told the singer that “Wi$h Li$t” was probably his favorite, to which Taylor replied enthusiastically: “Oh, that means the world to me because that might be my favorite, too,” said the artist, confessing that it was the last song she added to the album.
