The Lions have looked dominant in recent weeks, rattling off four consecutive wins after losing their opening game against the Green Bay Packers. The Chiefs have struggled a bit early, posting a 2-3 record through five games.
Detroit struggled to move the ball against the Green Bay Packers in Week 1, but they’ve been a dominant offense since. Through five games, they lead the NFL in points (.569) per play. They’re also averaging a league-high 34.8 points per game.
The Lions have been one of the best offenses in the NFL once they get to the red zone. They’re converting 76% of their red zone drives into touchdowns this season. That number’s up to 85.7% over their last three games.
The Chiefs haven’t been a bad defense in 2025, but they also haven’t been elite. They rank 16th in points allowed (.372) per play. They’re also allowing their opponents to score a touchdown on 60% of their red zone drives this season.

Detroit’s going to score points in this game, which leads us to determine how much offensive success Kansas City will have. It hasn’t been the best start for their offense, ranking 17th in the NFL in points (.397) per play. They are averaging 25 points per game, though.
