The controversy surrounding former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez escalated even further after the mother of his child, model Erin Campaneris, broke her silence following the recent incident and arrest of the former player in Indianapolis.
Sanchez, 38, who is currently a Fox Sports analyst, was booked into an Indianapolis jail a week ago following an alleged altercation. Following the events, Campaneris, with whom he shares eight-year-old son Daniel, took to social media to address the situation for the first time.

In her statement, the model emphasized that her “primary focus has always been and will continue to be our eight-year-old son Daniel.” She explained that she had remained silent to protect the child, but after the details became public, her focus has not changed.
“Unfortunately, none of this is surprising to me,” Campaneris said, expressing ongoing concern for her son’s safety and exposure.
The woman’s comment was via Instagram, where she wanted to make everything more public and put an end to certain rumors or questions about this serious incident.
The legal battle after the arrest of Mark Sanchez
Sanchez’s arrest came eight days after he was stabbed in the chest following a dispute in an alley over a parking space with 69-year-old driver Perry Tole. Court documents indicate that the sports analyst allegedly confronted Tole, who was parked in a hotel loading dock.
Sanchez now faces a serious Level 5 felony charge of assault causing serious bodily injury, as well as three misdemeanors: assault causing bodily injury, public intoxication and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. His next court date is scheduled for November 5.
The complexity of the case is compounded by the fact that Perry Tole, the 69-year-old man involved in the altercation, has also filed a civil lawsuit for damages against Sanchez and his employer, Fox Sports. Tole claims to have suffered “severe permanent disfigurement” and severe injuries to his head, jaw and neck as a result of the incident.
